I've been a Christian for several years. I still have a problem understanding the Word of God (the Bible). Is it possible that some people will never understand the Word of God?

No! Anyone who wants to understand the Word of God can do so. Here are two Scriptures that will encourage you:
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
(Matt. 7:7-8)

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
(James 1:5-8)
God will give wisdom in any area to any man who asks for it. This includes the ability to understand the Scriptures. To ask in faith means that you believe God hears you and will give you what you asked.

Pray, then begin to search the Scriptures, knowing that God will give you understanding of them. I know that you'll have a good report.
