I want to know more about God, but I don't know where to start. Can you give me some advice?

Let me give you several steps to take in order to come to know God better. The number one decision is to become a child of God.

"For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus" (Gal. 3:26 NKJ).
But what does it say? "The word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.
(Rom. 10:8-10 NKJ)
Once a person accepts Jesus in his or her heart and becomes a child of God, he or she must then continue to feed on the Word of God, the Bible, in order to grow.

"Therefore, laying aside all malice, all guile, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby" (1 Peter 2:1-2 NKJ).

As we read the Bible, we must then make a decision to obey it. "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves" (James 1:22 NKJ).

In order to obey the Bible, you must pray and ask God to give you insight and wisdom of the Scriptures. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 NKJ).

God will certainly do the rest!
