In God's Word, I have found instances of angels doing ten different things regarding the children of God.

Number one, we find in the Word of God that angels are involved in healing.

Number two, angels are involved in delivering.

Three, angels are involved in strengthening. The Greek word translated "strengthening" means "invigorating"!

Number four, angels are involved in giving revelation from God.

Number five, they are talked about in the Word of God as doing battle!

Six, there is an instance of angels handling the death of Christians.

Number seven, angels are involved in protecting believers.

Number eight, they are described as looking just like us - so much so that we can't tell the difference between an angel and a human being!

Number nine, angels are involved in delivering messages - even to Jesus Himself.

And, ten, we find in the Word angels leading the way into the future for the children of God.

That's a pretty impressive list! Even in the New Testament, angels are involved in all the things I've just mentioned. God intended for angels to minister to - to assist, to aid, and help - anyone who is an heir of salvation!

Hebrews 2:3 says, "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation...?" In other words, how shall we walk in total victory if we don't have the ministry of angels working for us the way God intended it to work?

Many don't realize the role of angels in our everyday lives, but angels are always with us. If the gift of discerning of spirits (1 Cor. 12:10) were in operation, you would be able to see into the spirit realm the angels who are always with you.

Incidentally, this spiritual gift is called discerning of spirits, not the gift of discernment. I've heard people say, "Well, I have the gift of discernment, and I can tell whether people are good or bad."

No, they don't have the gift of discernment. What they have is a gift of suspicion!

In First Corinthians chapter 12, the Apostle Paul lists the revelation gifts - the word of wisdom, word of knowledge, and discerning of spirits. The word "discern" means to see. So when the gift of discerning of spirits is in operation, a person can see into the realm of the spirit.

If you had an manifestation of discerning of spirits right now, you would see that the room you are in is full of angels. Standing by your seat or by your side are your angels. And I would say that many of them are dormant. That simply means they are not active to the full extent that God intended.

God intended for angels to minister to you - to assist, to aid, and to help you - throughout your entire life and in every area of your life.
