I know God wants to bless us, but can a lazy person prosper?

Another biblical name for a lazy person is a sluggard or one who is slothful. The Bible clearly states that you can't be lazy and prosper. Let's examine some scriptures that make this declaration:
Slothfulness casts one into a deep sleep, and an idle person will suffer hunger.
(Prov. 19:15 NKJV)

The sluggard will not plow because of winter; therefore he will beg during harvest and have nothing.
(Prov. 20:4 NKJV)

I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding; and there it was, all overgrown with thorns; its surface was covered with nettles; its stone wall was broken down. When I saw it, I considered it well; I looked on it and received instruction: a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest; so shall your poverty come like a prowler, and your want like an armed man.
(Prov. 24:30-34 NKJV)

The soul of a sluggard desires, and has nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.
(Prov. 13:4 NKJV)

The hand of the diligent will rule, but the slothful will be put to forced labor.
(Prov. 12:24 NKJV)
The preceding scriptures inform us that a lazy person won't prosper. God is able to bless Christians in the area of finances, but He won't bless lazy Christians. We need to be diligent on the job, and with all that we do, in order to prosper in all our ways.
