Is God against us using animals to clothe ourselves?

Let's find out what the Bible says concerning man and his relationship with animals. We will start by taking a look at God's intention from the beginning.
Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.
(Gen. 1:26 NIV)
Notice that God's original intention was for man to rule over the beasts of the field. Man didn't have permission to eat animals until after the flood of Noah (Gen. 9:2-3).

God put the animals on the earth to bless man and to be used by man at his discretion. The Bible teaches us to be kind to animals and treat them in a humane way (Prov. 12:10).

The Bible doesn't tell us we are not to use animal furs for our clothing. The Bible actually advocates the practice of using animal skins. Notice what God did after Adam and Eve's first sin.

"Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them" (Gen. 3:21 KJV).

God was the first one to kill an animal and use the fur to clothe man. He set the example for us. In the Old Testament God had the children of Israel sacrifice animals for a sin atonement on a regular basis.

While I'm convinced that God respects the life of the animal, I also believe He has put them on the earth for man's benefit. Because of the above Scriptures, and many more that we don't have time to cover, I'm convinced that God is not against man using animal skins, furs, etc., for clothing.
