"The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them" (Deut. 33:27).

A refuge is a shelter or a place of protection from danger or distress. It's a safe place. God's everlasting arms are a safe place and a refuge for every one of us to run into for protection and safety.

God's everlasting arms are arms of power and strength. Jeremiah 32:17 says, "Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee."

Nothing is too hard for the God who made Heaven and earth by His great power and His outstretched, everlasting arms! Commenting on this verse, one writer said, "The Lord stretched out His arms and opened His hand and flung the worlds into
existence."

God created the universe with His mighty power! If God can create the universe with His mighty power, He can create whatever it is you need in your life. There's nothing in your life that's too hard for Him! Just lean on His everlasting arms!

The Word of God says that He is the Lord; He changes not, and He's not a man that He should lie (Num. 23:19). Therefore, since God has not changed, He still has the mighty power in His outstretched arms that He's always had. What do you need in your life? Look to your Refuge—God Almighty. His powerful, outstretched arms are not lacking in strength or ability to help you!

God's power is still available to you today. God wants to stretch out His mighty arms on your behalf. The Bible says, "He hath shewed strength with his arm ..." (Luke 1:51). Do you need God's strength shown in your life today?

Look to Him! Seek Him with all your heart. God says in His Word, "Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off?" (Jer. 23:23). His ear is open to the cry of the righteous, and He longs to demonstrate His power to you. The Bible says to "Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us" (Ps. 62:8). Run into the refuge of His everlasting arms and find the answers you need.

Allow God to be your refuge. Look to Him and to the power in His Word. Lean on His everlasting arms. He will not fail you. As you seek Him with all your heart, He will stretch out His mighty, powerful arms to bring you to a place of safety and peace.
