Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of hands.Check that out. It says, "Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift...." What gift? What is he talking about there?

God has a supernatural gift for each one of us and it's going to take a little stirring for it to come out.
The Flesh vs. The Spirit
We need to realize that our flesh and our spirits don't stay hooked up automatically. Staying hooked will take effort on your part. Your flesh and your spirit are two separate things.
Ever pour salad dressing into a salad? What happens if you just let it sit? The dressing sinks to the bottom right? Crispy, dry and hard to swallow!
And what would it take to create a really good salad? You have to stir it up!
I know this sounds simplistic but I want you to get the point of this. You need to keep yourself stirred up.
So how do you stay stirred up? How can you get God's gift and calling to the forefront of your life?
This is huge, are you ready? By having an intimate relationship with God!
Dig into His Word and find out what kind of Person He is. Get to know Him. Follow Him. Share your heart with Him.
Once you find out what kind of Friend He can be, you won't be able to contain yourself because you'll want to talk to Him and be with Him all the time.
Getting to know God is one of the best ways to keep yourself stirred up.
Now go make yourself a salad and stay stirred!
