Sometimes when it's getting close to lunchtime some friends of mine come to me and say, "Mungry!" Which is their own simplified slang word for "I'm Hungry!" I started to think about that when I sat down to write this message. What about you? Mungry? If you want to receive direction from God you have to be earnestly hungry for Him.

I've got a good scriptural example that you can find in Psalm chapter five: "My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up" (Ps. 5:3 KJV).

I like the Living Bible translation: "Each morning I will look to you in heaven and lay my requests before you, praying earnestly" (Ps. 5:3 TLB).

I believe that it's only those who hunger and thirst after God that are actually going to FIND the things of God. He is not going to entrust you with some of the awesome things that He has for your life if you have no desire for them.

You HAVE to be hungering for them! You absolutely have to come to a place in your life that you are desperate for Him! He's not going to hand anything over to you, without you making an effort to go after it.

Teenagers you need to have a fierce hunger for God. That hunger is the key to your survival! Jesus told you to, "Ask, in my name, and you shall receive, that your joy may be full" (John 16:24 Scott Sibinski version not yet available in print).

If you become so hungry for God that you look to heaven each morning and lay your requests before Him, praying earnestly...I KNOW that He will answer those requests!

When you have that type of earnest hunger for Him, it will become the very thing that gives you the unction and ability to reach the destiny that God has planned for your life.

So I ask you...Mungry?
