According to the Word, getting wisdom should be our top priority. With wisdom comes some great benefits that will help us fulfill God's plan for our life.
Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.
(Prov. 4:7 NKJV)
The word principal means first or highest in rank, importance, value, etc; chief, foremost.

According to the Word, getting wisdom should be our top priority. With wisdom comes some great benefits that will help us fulfill God's plan for our life and enjoy that life.

What Is Wisdom?
Wisdom is defined as essentially the correct application of knowledge.

Proverbs 1:7: The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

A wise person is described in the Bible as someone who:
  • Fears God (Prov. 1:7)
  • Walks with wise friends (Prov. 13:20)
  • Brings about healing with their words (Prov. 12:18)
  • Listens to instruction (Prov. 13:1)
  • Has self control (Prov. 29:11)

Looking for happiness in life?

The Word says, "Happy is the man that finds wisdom and the man that gets understanding." (Prov. 3:13)

Five benefits we get from wisdom are:  (Prov. 3:16, 4:6-7, 14:35 )
  1. Length of days
  2. Wealth and riches
  3. Honor
  4. Protection
  5. Favor
How Do We Get Wsdom?
Step 1:
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Prov. 9:10)

Step 2:
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask God that gives to all men liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him.
(James 1:5)

God's Word details out for us how vital it is to the success of our life to have and use wisdom. God's Word also shows us how simple it can be to get wisdom; We only need to ask.
