The glory of the Lord is everything that makes God, God—all His characteristics, authority, power and wisdom.

For God who said, 'Let light shine out of the darkness', has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
(2 Cor. 4:6 ESV)

Some in the church have described the glory of God as a mist, a cloud, or a similar manifestation. You may have heard a Christian state, "Oh, the glory of God fell in that meeting." But what is the glory of the Lord? The Hebrew word for glory is "kabowd". It's definition speaks of splendor, abundance, and honor.

The glory of the Lord is everything that makes God, God. All His characteristics, authority, power and wisdom— literally, the immeasurable weight and magnitude of God. Nothing is hidden or held back! The truth that Paul shared to the Corinthians still applies to us today. We have access to an experience with the glory of the Lord each and every day!
