Each one of us has been gifted by God to do something great! It is our responsibility to find and steward that gift. That "stewardship" process can seem difficult and we can hit some walls, but we can't let that stop us from fulfilling God's plan for us!

It's easy for us to look at successful people and assume that they got all the breaks in life and never failed at anything, but nothing could be farther from the truth.

Famous Failures
Albert Einstein
He was four years old before he could speak.

Thomas Edison
His teacher told him we was too stupid to learn anything.

Walt Disney
He was fired by an editor who claimed he didn't have any good ideas.

Abraham Lincoln
He entered the Black Hawk War as a captain and came out as a private, had two businesses fail, suffered a nervous breakdown, and was defeated in seven different elections before he was elected President of the United States.

Alexander Graham Bell
He was laughed at most of his life as he tried to raise money to produce his invention the telephone.

What do these men have in common?
They all failed, but they kept trying until they were successful.

We can't assume we're going to hit a home run the first time we go to the plate. It's going to take some practice and some time, but if we're diligent we will get there!

What the Word Says About Being Diligent
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. (Col. 3:23 NLT)

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.
(Eccl. 9:10 NKJV)

Keep your heart with all diligence,For out of it spring the issues of life.
(Prov. 4:23 NKJV)

He who has a slack hand becomes poor,But the hand of the diligent makes rich. (Prov. 10:4 NKJV)

The hand of the diligent will rule,But the lazy man will be put to forced labor.
(Prov. 12:24 NKJV)

Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty. (Proverbs 21:5 NLT)

The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.
(Prov. 24:16 NLT)

No matter what circumstances you encounter as you steward your God-given gifts, don't get discouraged. The Bible says the righteous fall seven times a day and then get back up. We're not known as the perfect people. We're known as the "getting-back-up-people." We can get back up with God's power and fulfill His plan.

What the Word Says About Getting Help
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Phil. 4:13 NKJV)

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.
(Eph. 1:17-19 NKJV)

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
(John 15:7 NKJV)

Yet in all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. (Romans 8:37 NKJV)

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Phil. 4:19 NKJV)

God has great things for you and your family.

Let's enjoy the journey!
