Success does not mean being accepted by the world!

Success comes from progressively, systematically moving toward your God-given goal in life. If you have no goal, you will never succeed. How would you like to watch a football game that had no goal? The guy who got the ball would just start running all over everywhere. That describes your life if you have no goal.

Success is not making lots of money. Making a lot of money is a very shallow reason. Money can buy you a $50 steak, but only God can give you the appetite to enjoy it. As for me, I can eat anything that will slow down.  But I’ve had lunch with millionaires who had Maalox in one hand and crackers in the other. They’re afraid somebody’s going to get their money…and somebody will. When you die, they’ll strip you naked and dress you in a suit with the back cut out. They’ll bury you in a box and all your money is going to be gone!

Money can buy you the finest surgeons, but God can give you the health to never need them. Money can buy you a bed of absolute pure gold, but only God can give you the peace of mind that gives you true rest. Money can buy you a mansion, but only the love of God will make it a home.

What is your definition of success? To a drug addict, it’s another fix. To a politician it’s getting re-elected.  To the average American, success is the gratification of the instinctual man:  to get what I want, when I want it. But you cannot satisfy the instinctual man. The instinctual man is driven by greed. He is driven by the world, the flesh and the devil. The only thing that will satisfy your soul is Jesus Christ.
