Good news… you can and He does! Perhaps, you've had seasons where you tried to write chapters of your life without the Lord and you ended up with a dark thriller. You can start over. It's not over for you. When we walk with the Lord, He writes and rewrites the text of our lives which means good things are ahead for you.

How? How does God edit, transform, and rewrite the text of our lives? He told us how in Romans 12:1-2, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God — this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will."

The editing process starts with offering ourselves to God and being surrendered to Him and His purposes. Then the big transformation (editing and rewriting) comes through the renewing our minds. When we renew our minds with God's thoughts, we will be transformed day by day.

The "renewing of our minds" means to reprogram our minds with God's Word or to renovate our minds with the truth from God. When we renew our minds, He transforms our lives.

In real life, that means we make a choice to give our attention to His Word day and night. We intentionally study the Bible to learn and understand more about God and how He operates. We make time to soak in His Word and discover the laws by which His kingdom works and how to cooperate with them. We purposefully read the Bible to really get to know the character and Person of our Father, Jesus and the wonderful Holy Spirit. When we do that, God does the work of editing, rewriting, and transforming us!

Simple. Profound. Supernatural.

Say this: "Father, I open my heart to You. I surrender to You. I need a do-over and some serious 'editing' in areas of my life. I ask You to Help me as I choose to renew my mind to Your Word. Thank You for rewriting the text of my life. Thank You for editing my future. Thank You for transformation! In Jesus' Name. Amen."
