"O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory" (Ps. 98:1 KJV).

The Lord has done something marvelous. He delivered you and He delivered me. His right hand and his arm has given Him the victory. What is the arm of God? The arm of God is the anointing of God. And the anointing of God is Christ the Lord.

The arm of God, the Holy hand of God was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His strips we are healed. We can learn something from Jesus that will help us walk in victory.

Yes, He obtained victory for us. But look at what He did to get it. Isaiah 53:7: He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth (KJV).

While on the cross, Jesus could have chosen to say something different than what God said. Instead when the pressure was on, He kept his mouth shut. As far as He was concerned, He had said everything He was going to say.

With this type of self-control, He obtained the victory. Someone may say, "Yes, but that was Jesus." But, not only did Jesus conquer His tongue, we see an example of another man, Jairus, that did as well. God would not command us to do anything that He did not give us the ability to do.

In Mark chapter 5, Jairus asked Jesus to lay His hands on his daughter "that she may be healed and she shall live." As Jesus went with him, there was an interruption. A woman in the crowd was miraculously healed and told Jesus all about.

Then someone brought word from Jairus' house, "It's too late; your daughter is dead. Why trouble the master any more." Jesus turned to Jairus and said, "Be not afraid, only believe." In other words, Jairus, you've said the word, and that's all you need to say. Believe what you said and don't say any more.

Jesus was telling him, just as He's telling us, that anything dead can be resurrected. There can be restoration for your body, restoration in your finances, restoration with your children. When you have spoken what God says about the situation, you have said all you need to say.

Always speak the Word about that situation. In the midst of pressure, speak the Word. Do as Jesus says and "Be not afraid, only believe." And you shall see victory.
