"Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told to me" (Acts 27:25 KJV).

Acts 27 is an example of how God will deliver you. The apostle Paul is being taken to Rome against his will. They get on the boat and Paul knows in his spirit that this trip will be disastrous.

He tells the authorities, but they don't listen to him. So they move out and get caught in the middle of a major hurricane known as a Euroclydon.

This Too Shall Pass
Now a Euroclydon is a northeast gale force hurricane wind. Imagine being in a little wooden boat. They didn't have steal hulls back then. They're out on the high seas in the middle of a hurricane. The Bible said that this gale force wind and the concurrent storm that came with it was so bad that they could not see sunlight for over two weeks.

You might be in a Euroclydon in your life right now. It might be dark and you haven't seen the sun for awhile. But I want you to know that when you have been living godly before God, you can look forward to seeing the light of the sun.

They were in a hopeless state.
But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, "Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss…. And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship. For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, Saying, 'Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.' Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me."
(Acts 27:21-25)
Godly Living Gets You Delivered
That angel was manifest to Paul because Paul had been involved in godly living. The angels of God appeared to him and gave him a word from the Lord. And even though they lost the cargo, everybody on that boat was saved.

That's what I'm telling you too. When you serve God, you can expect a great deliverance out of your storm. Protection is one thing that you profit when you live godly before the Lord.
