We all know and understand that these are precarious days for our nation. It’s clear that God has impressed this fact upon the hearts of His servants everywhere. The Lord calls these “troubled times.” The Bible said there would be troubled times, times of despair, and times of darkness. It’s in these times that we need to press in more than ever before. We need to push on more than ever before. We need to refine ourselves and sharpen ourselves more than we’ve ever done in the past. As for the unsaved, their days are not getting brighter; their days are getting darker. But that’s not the case with the church. With the church, and I mean the true church of Jesus Christ, the true saved ones of the Lord that have come by the way of the cross and have come by the way of the King, our path is a brighter path. Our way is a brighter way.

We also know and understand that in these days there’s a divergence that is taking place. There’s a divergence, a separation that’s occurring between the path of darkness and the path of light. It’s between the broad path that many unbelievers walk upon and the small path that few believers tread upon. Days of trouble are also upon the entire world, and we’re witnessing it in uprisings around the globe. Even as they increase in number and severity we need to remember that He said these things would come to pass in His Word. We remind ourselves that it is in these times that we are to lift up our heads, for our redemption draws nigh.

There is, at this present time, a greater call from God for us to refine ourselves, purify ourselves, and multiply ourselves while living out our lives on the bright path that leads to Heaven. These are the days in which we need to do all the things that God has called us to do. He needs us to be the men and women and the sons and daughters of God that He has called us to be. We are to speak the words that He tells us to speak. We are to do the things that He tells us to do. I believe that through our obedience, the precious promises of God will rest richly upon our lives and ministries. The promises of God shall be unveiled in our families, known in our marriages, and shall be seen in all that we do, all that we set our hands to, and all that we experience in life.

But we must also know our covering in this day. It is imperative that we know where our hiding place is. We must know our way to the hiding place. We must know our way to the high tower, and we must also know how to defend ourselves while we’re on our way there. I believe the Lord is reminding us that if we find ourselves in His company, we’ll be in the best company. To be in the company of Heaven in these last and final days is to be found in the best and highest company. When we live and minister from that high place, we’ll find that the sewage of this world and the filth of this nation shall not take us down.

God is reminding us that we will not fail; we will not falter or fall down in this day, and unbelievers will see us standing high upon the rock of God’s righteousness. This will be a day where we’ll know His Word, we’ll confess His Word, we’ll pray out His Word, and we’ll meditate on His Word. In this day, there will be continual deliverance for us from the troubled times. There will be continual deliverance for us from this troubled world. There will always be safety for us in the midst of the uprisings. There will always be safety for us in the midst of the darkness and despair.

So we must press on in this season, in this day, and in this year. This year is our year. But this is also a year of preparation for some things that must come to pass. This is also a year of reflection, a time to get ourselves ready for the things that are right around the corner. As we purify ourselves, as we draw closer to God and draw closer to His Word, we will undoubtedly experience all of the promises that He’s given to us.

In Jesus’ Name, the promises of God shall come to pass at last.
