Words cannot express how it thrills my soul. For what I am seeing is this: The Church of the Living God is about to awaken to the truth of who she is. She is about to rise up and begin to carry herself not as an earthly congregation reaching toward heaven, but as a heavenly delegation sent by God to bring heaven to the earth.
With the eyes of my heart I've seen Christians gather together not just to have a "church service" but to receive instructions from our headquarters in heaven.
I've seen bodies of believers begin to operate like a senate or parliament, ruling and reigning in the realm of the spirit as representatives of Jesus and executing His will on the earth.
Personally, I am becoming increasingly conscious of the fact that I am right now—not someday in the future, but now!—a citizen of heaven. My home is not Minneapolis, Minnesota. My home is heaven and I'm simply in Minneapolis on a divine assignment as an ambassador for God.
Scriptures Coming Alive
Suddenly, familiar scriptures are leaping inside me with new life. Scriptures like:
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation…now then we are ambassadors for Christ.I've known those verses and meditated on them for years, but now I'm starting to know them like never before.
(2 Cor. 5:17,20)
And (God) raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus.
(Eph. 2:6)
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God's own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
(1 Peter 2:9)
When I was a little girl, my grandmother used to say to me, "Lynne, you were born to be a queen." Lately, those words keep coming back to me and I'm sensing the spiritual truth behind them.
It's dawning on my soul in greater and greater fullness that the Church of Jesus Christ was born to be the queen of heaven. She has been spiritually bred to help Him rule the nations by the Word and the Spirit of God.
Knowing Who We Are In Christ
In times past, there were men and women here and there who caught the reality of that. People like Smith Wigglesworth and John G. Lake. They could walk into situations that would send most Christians running for cover and take control of them. They could look straight into the face of death, command it to flee—and it would.
Why? Because they knew who they were. They knew they were on a divine mission. They knew they were commissioned by God Himself to take heaven wherever they went.
I'm telling you, that same revelation is about to hit the Church in a big way. And those who dare to receive it will walk with a power and authority that will absolutely astonish the world.
Actually, that revelation is already here and it's growing, especially in the hearts of those who pray. It's causing us to pray with greater authority and boldness. It's enabling us more and more not only to ask of God, but to declare His Word and execute His commands upon the earth.
The Day Is Rapidly Approaching
So make the most of this time. Go back and study all the "in Him" and "in Whom" scriptures again. Meditate on who God is in you!
Sometimes I just stand in the presence of God and act like who I am. I stand before Him and practice being conscious of the fact that I am a child of the King. I am an heir of God and joint heir with Jesus.
You can do the same thing. You were born to reign with Jesus. You are an ambassador of heaven. Let the truth of that work in you until your prayers resound with the authority of heaven itself.
Bless the Lord, the day is rapidly approaching when the voice of the Church will be the very voice of God in the earth. Hallelujah, what a day of divine destiny this is! Keep on praying.
