Some people seem to major in offending others. Seldom a day goes by that they don't say or do something that cause offense to someone.

Determine not to be like those people. Romans 16 says:
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offenses contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
(Rom. 16:17)
First Peter provides a key that will keep you from becoming like those people who make a practice of offending others:
For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.
(1 Peter 3:10)
Do you want to see good days and live a long life free from offense? Then keep your tongue from evil, and speak good things about others!
