Fellowship With God
If your relationships are filled with arguments, complaints and frustration, it is an indication that you need to spend more time with God. Anger and irritation with others can often be tempered simply by spending quality time alone with the Lord.

Too often we get tangled up in our busy schedules, leaving little time for God. This should not be. Our quiet time with Him is never wasted time.

Praying and studying the Word will cause you to become more aware of His presence, which in turn will empower you with the love, wisdom and understanding needed to nurture an ailing relationship back to health.

You'll begin to respond differently to your family, co-workers and those you come in contact with every day.

God Is Near You
Sometimes people don't spend time with God because they believe He is far away from them. He is omnipresent, which means He is everywhere at once. While He resides in heaven, He is also very close to you.

Psalm 16:8 says, "I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved." Knowing that He is near should increase your confidence. Every answer you seek can be found in His presence.

Taking the time to look to Him in the middle of a crisis is all it takes to begin tapping into His wisdom. His Word provides you with the knowledge of how you should respond to the arguments, complaints and frustrations you experience.

Instead of reacting, or sometimes overreacting, you train yourself to see the situation the way God sees it and respond accordingly.

Conquer With Love
You may ask, "How should I react when I am on the receiving end of someone who is argumentative and overly critical?" Again, time spent with the Lord will help you to walk in love toward that person and maintain a positive attitude.

As you pray and hear from Him, you will begin to comprehend His love for you. Realizing that God loves you enough to forgive you in spite of your shortcomings empowers you to extend mercy and love toward others.

The Word says, "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins" (1 Peter 4:8 NIV). The next time you are tempted to condemn your brother or sister, remember the love that Jesus has extended toward you.

Don't Quit
Before I fully understood what it meant to be a Christian, I thought that I had to do everything perfectly-that God would turn His back on me if I sinned. Unfortunately, that's what many of us were taught. Even now, well-intentioned ministers preach sermons about falling into sin.

Members try to live sin-free lives, but they inevitably fall short. This type of teaching only causes a person to feel condemned. I've learned to run to God when I've missed the mark instead of running from Him.

Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."

He longs to answer your prayers - especially when you are hurting.

When you cry out to Him, He hears and helps you (2 Chron. 20:9). Many Christians are tempted to quit when times get tough. But you must not give up! Hang in there, God is faithful. He will see you through the tough times and help you overcome the fear, anxiety or frustration they may bring.

God desires for you to enjoy your relationships with Him, your family members, friends and co-workers. It's impossible to have a healthy relationship without Him. Commit to set aside time for you and God. Ask Him to show you how to have more positive interactions with people.

As you follow Him, you will notice a marked improvement in yourself and all of your relationships.
