Every woman, whether single, married, or divorced, can profit from a study of what the Word of God has to say on the subject of woman, wife, and mother. If single now, perhaps you will be involved as a wife and mother someday.

If not, you can still minister to others by gaining knowledge on this topic. There is always counseling to be done; and when you get women to realize how beautiful it is that God created them women, that settles many problems.

Those whose children are gone from home can learn things that will minister life to their grandchildren.

The second chapter of Genesis gives us insight into the creation of woman. I believe that by studying this portion of Scripture, women will be thrilled when they see that God saw fit to create them women.

Let's begin with Genesis 2:7:
Then the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life; and man became a living being.

And the Lord God planted a garden toward the east in Eden (meaning delight); and there He put the man whom He had formed (framed, constituted).

And out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight or to be desired, good, (suitable, pleasant) for food;

the tree of life also in the center of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of the difference between good and evil, and blessing and calamity.
(Gen. 2:7-9 AMP)
Now let's skip to the fifteenth verse:
And the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it.

And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden, except of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and of blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.

Now the Lord God said, It is not good {sufficient, satisfactory} that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper meet (suitable, adapted, completing) for him.
(Gen. 2:15-19 AMP)
The Scripture goes on to tell how God formed the animals and beasts and let Adam name them. But God still saw that for Adam there was not a helper who was adaptable, suitable, and completing for him.

So in Genesis 2:21-25 we are told:
And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and while he slept He took one of his ribs—a part of his side—and closed up the [place with] flesh instead of it;

And the rib or part of his side which the Lord God had taken from the man, He built up and made into a woman and brought her to the man.

Then Adam said, This [creature] is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called woman and brought her to the man.

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall become united and cleave to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

And the man and his wife were both naked, and were not embarrassed or ashamed in each other's presence.
(Gen. 2:15-18 AMP)
I want to lay a foundation here, so you can see some differences between man and woman. Genesis 2:7 tells us God formed man.

In the original Hebrew, one definition of being formed is "squeezed together." That is why man, many times appears rugged.

But in verse 22, where we are told about God creating woman, the Hebrew means "skillfully and carefully handcrafted," to be suitable, adaptable, and completing to a man.

The way you become those things is by continually surrounding the one God has given you with aid and assistance.

Once you've accepted yourself as a woman, you are proud because your Creator saw fit to create you. He saw that you could flow and walk in that to perfection. God sees every creation as good and perfect—and that's how you're to see yourself!

When you see yourself that way, you will see your mate that way. That's important. You weren't made for man to see himself differently than how God made him, but you were created to make yourself adaptable, suitable, and completing for him.

We read in Genesis 2:24, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and shall become united and cleave to his wife, and they shall become one flesh."

The word cleave in the Hebrew means "to never stop chasing." If you, as the woman, continually surround your husband with aid and assistance, he will never stop chasing you!

You are making him complete at all times; therefore, he desires to be around you, He always desires to have you with him so he is complete.

The Word is not just paper and ink—it's life. And we need to be established through the word on this subject of woman, wife, and mother.
