You all make frequent trips to the grocery store, right? Well, have you ever noticed how many different kinds of packages there are for one kind of food? You might go to the shelf to look for a bottle of ketchup, but it comes in all different shapes of containers, with different kinds of lettering, and different colored labels.

Now, the creators of ketchup had a certain flavor and quality in mind when they created it. And they probably didn't give a hoot what kind of container the ketchup was put it into. They cared about what was inside the container—the ketchup. However, we might be paying more attention to the packaging, when the creator would want us to pay more attention to what's on the inside!

Don't Consider Another's 'Packaging!'
Likewise, that's how it is with us, as wives and mothers. God packaged us all differently. But too often, we look at one another's "packaging" and compare ourselves to one another.

Romans 9:20 in the Message says, "Who in the world do you think you are to second guess God? Clay doesn't talk back to the fingers that mold it, saying, "Why did you shape me like this?"

God is more concerned with what He put on the inside of us. And He put the same thing inside each one of us—His anointing to be a godly wife and mother.

Yes, God has packaged each one of us differently—with different qualities, talents, temperaments and personality bents. But each one of has the same thing on the inside, and that's His anointing to be a godly wife and mother to the family He's given you.

Use The Anointing You Have
Now, don't be thinking He passed your "container" by. If anyone could've thought that, it would have been me. I don't think anyone could've seemed less anointed to be a wife and mother than I was 24 years ago. But He hadn't passed me by. I had the anointing. I just had to learn to use it—and so do you!

It would be as if I gave you an airplane. It's yours even if you don't learn how to fly it. But you'll never benefit from it or be able to share it with others unless you spend the time and effort it takes to learn to fly it.

Likewise, it took time and effort on my part to learn to walk in the anointing He had placed on the inside of me—and it's not over yet!

Philippians 2:13 says,
For God is at work within you, helping you want to obey him, and then helping you do what he wants.
It doesn't matter what it looks like to anyone, including yourself! God has placed His anointing to be a godly wife and mother on the inside of YOU!
