There are boys and girls whose lives are in turmoil. Many of them don't have godly father figures to influence and mentor them into adulthood. You could be the godly influence they need in order to help change their lives. And you don't have to be a father to do it. All you need is the Word of God, the heart of God, and a willingness to help meet the needs of others.
The Lord has anointed you with the power and ability to mentor and nurture the fatherless. He has given you the mandate to "Do justice to the weak (poor) and fatherless; maintain the rights of the afflicted and needy" (Ps. 82:3 AMP).
Therefore as a Christian, you have a responsibility to defend the fatherless. They shouldn't have to depend on the government to protect and provide for them. That's the responsibility of the Body of Christ. And when one member has a need, the entire Body is affected.
Likewise, young adults can't function properly and become all God wants them to be unless someone teaches them godly principles and helps them to develop their faith. They need to know that God has a purpose for their lives. You can instruct them in the Word and help them to develop the anointing God has placed within them.
The Apostle Paul encouraged Timothy to "stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you by means of the laying on of my hands." (2 Tim. 1:6 AMP) Notice it was Paul who laid hands on Timothy, which confirms the need for a spiritual father.
There is at least one young person who needs you to make a mark in their life that cannot be erased. Allow the Holy Spirit to direct you to that person. Once you meet them, impart the wisdom of God - the Word of God. And when they mature and fulfill the plan God has for them, they will remember how you helped them to succeed. I guarantee you'll be blessed.
Child of God, don't wait any longer. Step out in faith and step up to the call...someone needs you! And the world will be a better place because of you. Make a quality decision to begin changing the world around you, today!
