"But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble" (Ps. 37:39).

When you go to the Word, you go to God; that is where you get your strength.

Well, someone might say, they took away my job at the airline. Well, bless the Lord, He'll give you another one. And He'll give you a better one, if you don't panic.

"Chill out." Be cool. Spend some time before God. He will direct your path. Don't allow yourself to be troubled. You can get your mind off of your own problems when you help someone else.

Psalm 41:1 says, "Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble." What do you do when you are in troubled times? Give. Help somebody else who is in need. When you help somebody else who is in need, first of all you get your eyes off of yourself. Stop thinking about you all the time and start thinking about helping somebody else.

Second, whatever you do for others, God will do for you. If you help somebody else who is in trouble, He will help you if you are ever in trouble. Once again it is give and it is given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.

The Word said as a man sows, so shall he also reap. If you sow help to somebody else, help is coming your way. Find some way to give. Find some way to minister to somebody. Find some way to help somebody else. Stop thinking about what might happen to you.

Start doing something for somebody else. If you give your last dime to help somebody else who doesn't have a dime, God will give you $10. I know my God. That's what He does. He'll bless you when you bless other people, because with Him we are all family. And He wants every one of His children to help one another.

Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

You'll find that helping others that need it is God's way. And it will be evident in your life that God is present. You don't have to sing "Come by here Lord." He's already with you. He is a very present help in time of trouble. He is always there to bring salvation to the righteous.
