Although not all of us are called to ministry, every person has a God-ordained purpose in life. You need to know your calling. When God reveals your calling to you, it changes everything.

When you know your calling, it gives you purpose. When you have purpose, it drives you. And when you're driven, you never have to ask yourself why you're here, what you're doing, or why you're doing it—you know.

You have the revelation of the wonderful future God has for you. He wants to give you that drive, that purpose, no matter how young or old you are.

Notice what Paul wrote to the Colossian believers:
For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
(Col. 1:9-10)
Paul heard of their salvation, and he prayed as Elijah did when he prayed about rain—effectively and fervently (James 5:16-18). Paul knew how to pray in accordance with the will of God, and he prayed that they would be filled with the knowledge of His will.

Stuffed
The word "filled," pleroo in the Greek language, means, "to cram or to stuff." Paul prayed that they would have knowledge of God's will, and that they might be crammed and stuffed with it. And we can pray that way, too. Think about that!

A person who works a job not knowing if he's where God called him to be will always be looking for another place. Why? Because when you don't know the will of God for your life, you'll never be satisfied. The same can be said for people who enter into a relationship.

A person who isn't stuffed with the knowledge of God's will, often looks for other ways to fill his life. See, when you know the will of God for your life —when you're crammed and stuffed with it—you're not going to look for other things.

Consider this illustration. My mother makes the best Italian dinners, so when Christmas comes around I load everything on my plate three times! I'm often so stuffed that all I can do is lie on the floor with my feet up, watching TV and moaning.

I always tell myself I'll never do it again, but the next year comes around, and I do it once more. Hopefully you can identify with me in being so stuffed that you're uncomfortable and couldn't possibly eat another bite.

Crammed With God's Will
What would your life be like if you were so stuffed with God that you couldn't eat another bite of anything else? If you were crammed with the knowledge of God's will, what would happen?

No one and no thing could get you off track—no person and no devil could dissuade your direction.

You would know what the will of God is for your life, and what God has called you to do. Then the devil could tempt and try to distract you with anything else, and you'd say, "Absolutely not. I'm stuffed—not another bite."

Why? Because you're crammed with God's will for you. You live it. You breathe it. It's stuffed on the inside of you, and there is no room for anything else.

Many Christians are frustrated because they are looking to other things to fill and satisfy their lives; and they will always be hungry until they get crammed full of God's will for them. They need to pray and seek His will through revelation.
