However, prosperity has not manifested in the life of every partner and member of our ministry. Perplexed, I went to God and asked, "Lord, why aren't more testimonies coming in? What's the holdup?" He said, "My people need freedom from unforgiveness. It's blocking their prosperity."
Forgiveness is one way that we demonstrate our love for God and each other. The word forgive means "to pardon, excuse or release from payment." When we're hurt, we sometimes feel that we have a right to hold aught against someone or that a person doesn't deserve our forgiveness.
These feelings are understandable; but harboring unforgiveness negatively affects you and your relationships, and hinders you from receiving God's promises.
The Word says, "And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses" (Mark 11:25, 26).
We must forgive everyone for every shortfall, crime, offense or wrong that we've suffered. Since God is willing to forgive us, He expects us to be willing to forgive one another. In fact, He perceives unforgiveness as a personal attack against Himself (Matt. 25:40).
Unforgiveness is like cancer. If left unchecked, it torments, disables and spreads to other areas of your life. If someone has caused you pain for part of your life, don't give that person the satisfaction of ruining the rest of it!
An inheritance of health, wealth and peace is waiting for you! It won't manifest, however, until you decide to forgive. Don't stay in bondage another minute. Repent and receive freedom from unforgiveness so you can love your brothers, sisters and even your enemies!
Whom the Son has set free is free indeed! Be free and receive God's richest blessings!
