And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.
(Isa. 10:27)
I believe that day is this day! There is an anointing now to deal with your finances. Debt is a burden. But the anointing is here to remove that burden and destroy that yoke because this is our year!
He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much; and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
(Luke 16:10-11)
Let's define those two terms. Unrighteous mammon refers to the money in this world. You cannot put your trust in money because it is deceitful. Money can buy friends, but not true friends. It can buy you a gold-digger, but it cannot buy you true love. Money can buy you medicine, but not healing. Thus, money is deceitful.

The second term, true riches, can be understood by looking at Ephesians 3:8b, which states, "that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ." Since Christ is interpreted the anointing, here we see riches are equal to the anointing.

If we plug those definitions in, Luke 6:11 reads, "If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous money, who will commit to your trust the anointing?" There is a connection between your money and the anointing.

If you are not a tither, God cannot trust you with money, He cannot trust you with the anointing. If you are not a tither, God cannot trust you. Many people don't like to hear that, but it is the truth. After all, God is the one who said you are robbing Him...not me.

It is impossible to prosper in God if you are robbing Him. In Malachi 3, God commands us to give tithes (tenth of income) and offerings (above the tenth).

Why offerings? Because at the end of every act of obedience is blessing. God is setting you up! Your present day obedience sets up your future provision.

Your Present-Day Obedience Sets Up Your Future Provision
In 1 Kings 18:21-45, we see that we have the prophets of Baal saying Baal is God, and Elijah saying Jehovah is the true and living God. To settle the dispute, they agreed to build altars and the God that would answer by fire would be the one, true, and living God. The prophets of Baal called and called on their god, but he never answered. It was then Elijah's turn.

First, notice the first thing Elijah did, once he had the altar, was put the wood in order (v. 33). Similarly, notice that despite the drought that was present in the land (1 Kings 17:1), the owner of the water obeyed the man of God and poured the water on the sacrifice and wood. Giving that offering cost them something—water in a time when there was no rain.

Notice in 1 Kings 18:36 that Elijah did all of this at the word of the Lord. If you want God to answer by fire, you have to know the Word of God. That is indicative of a relationship with God. Spend time with God to find out what He wants you to do. Practice the presence of God.

Jesus said that His sheep know His voice (John 10:27). If you are born again, you are a sheep. Stop saying, "I can't hear from God." Instead, say, "Lord, I am your sheep and you said in your Word that I know your voice and a stranger's voice I will not follow."

Well, what happened? Not only did Jehovah answer by fire, but he also licked up the water (the offering).

That present-day obedience, that seed, should set them up for something. In verse 45, we read that the drought was over—there was a great rain! But God did not stop there. Verse 46: "And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel."

Wait a minute! Elijah outran the chariot! Supernatural speed! Now you may not need that kind of speed, but I know you could use supernatural speed in your debt cancellation, healing, relationships, etc.

That anointing is here, but it all begins with our obedience to God.
