God is a God of supernatural provision. The beggarly elements of this world or the systems it employs cannot bind or stop God. He goes above the natural to do things. You know that when you share the Word with some people, they receive it gladly. When you share it with others, they get mad at you - they may even want to hurt you.

This was the case with Elijah and King Ahab. Elijah obeyed God and went to dwell by a brook named Cherith. God supernaturally provided for Elijah when he was there. In 1 Kings 17:6, God used ravens to feed Elijah. Ravens don't normally spend their time finding bread and meat and bringing it to you for breakfast. But here you have God providing for Elijah because he did what God said and went where God told him to go.

It's very important to get instructions from God regarding supernatural provision. When you're in a tough situation, or your life or livelihood is being threatened, that's when you need to spend extra time before God to get instructions from Him.

If necessary, God will send the "ravens" for you and you can drink from the "brook." Our Father knows best. Sometimes we want to tell God how the provision is supposed to come. You have to stop telling God how it's supposed to happen; He's God, you're not. You have to decide to listen to God and to get your pride out of the way.

In 1 Kings 17:13, Elijah told the widow woman to make the cake and give it to him. If there was something left over, the widow woman and her son could have it, "For thus, saith the Lord God of Israel, the barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the Lord send rain upon the earth. And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days" (1 Kings 17:14-15).

The woman had already said she and her son were going to die. Yet, she heard the word of the Lord. So, she had a decision to make. She made a decision to obey God. Consequently, Elijah, the widow woman, and her son "did eat many days." The phrase, "many days," in this case means one full year. The little cake she sowed into the life of the man of God caused her to eat for one full year.

Right Before Your Eyes
Elijah had lived with this widow woman for one year. This woman was his provision. And then, her son died. Elijah prayed to the Lord and "the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived." The woman rejoiced, declaring that she knew Elijah was a man of God and that his word was true. Didn't she know he was the man of God? For one full year, they had supernatural provision.

You have to realize that Satan will come along and attack you because you've experienced God's supernatural provision. Satan is going to try to knock out your testimony. But don't get upset because Satan tries to attack you. If you're going to walk in God's supernatural provision, you have to expect that he will try to do so. Just because Satan lost one round doesn't mean he's going to give up the war. Satan doesn't quit.

You need to understand God is still God, even when things are bad. He is still supernatural, and His Word still works. Don't let yourself be taken out by Satan by saying, "I thought it was God. Maybe it was something else." If you let him, he'll give you all types of natural reasons to explain what happened.

For example, the enemy may tell you the incident was just luck or coincidental. There is no such thing as luck. Luck comes from the name "Lucifer" and we don't believe in luck. We believe in God's supernatural provision and ability. We believe in God's power, glory to God!

You need to understand that Satan will attack the very provision God gave you. If God gives you a job, then Satan will attack the job. If God gives you a business, then Satan will attack the business. If God uses a particular individual to be a blessing to you, Satan will attack that person.

When God gives you supernatural provisions, it's not the time to sit back and say, "Everything's all right." Know that what Jesus said in Mark 10:29-30 is true: "And Jesus answered and said, 'Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.'"

You're going to get a hundred-fold return. The widow woman did. She, her son, and Elijah ate from one little cake for one year. However, Mark 10:30 tells us the blessing comes with persecution.

So don't be upset if persecution comes. It should make you more determined. Remember the victories God has already given you. The devil had no power then, and he has no power now. God had power then, and He has power now.

God is no respecter of persons. If He'll do it for the widow woman, He'll do it for you, too. So believe God for His supernatural provisions in your life. He will abundantly bless you.
