Jesus died so we wouldn't have to be sick. Therefore, I refuse to accept sickness, how about you? We have to be determined to receive everything Jesus did for us whether we think we deserve it or not. The fact is, God thinks you deserve to be healed and that settles it.
You may say, "Well, I did such and such in my life, so I deserve to be sick." Look, get rid of that thought. Jesus already knew what you were going to do. That's why 1 John 1:9 tells us to repent and He will cleanses us from all unrighteousness. That means he will put you back in right standing with God.
The reason he will do that is because you can't stand up before God with a broken anything. Do you think you're going through those pearly gates in heaven limping on a cane? Do you think your head is going to be splitting with a migraine headache? No and no! He wants you healed now - healing is abundant life.
See, I take this very personal. For me, to accept sickness is to slap Jesus in the face and tell him I don't want what you did for me. I want to be sick. Are you nuts? Jesus provided healing for us. We don't have to be sick, so I'm not going to be sick.
Now, the devil will attack you because that's his job. But some of you don't want anybody to know. You know what? We are here for each other. We are supposed to pray for each other. When Satan attacks your body, you need to run to the church. Let them know, "look, this is what's happening to me; I know it's a lie, but I need you to stand in agreement with me on this thing."
That's pride when you don't want anyone to know you're sick. You're too busy wondering what people think about you, or that they think you don't have any faith. What does it matter what they think? Get your healing. Accept everything Jesus has provided for you.
Jesus provided healing for us. We are created in His image; we are a reflection of Him. When you look in the mirror you should see God, not a sick person. And when the world looks at us, they should see well, prosperous people who have abundant life.
