Let me share a letter I received.
Dear Brother Larry, I am a single mother with two children. I have a job at a local fast food restaurant here in Kansas City. I make fair wages. Not that my pay is enough to meet all my expenses, but they do pay me fairly for the work that I do.

I have gone to church all my life. My children are good kids and I live in an apartment that is not all that bad.

But, my question is this. Is it wrong for me to pray that God will help me with my money problems? And if it is okay, then how do I pray? Thanks for your help in advance.
This lady's question is a valid one. Does God care about our finances? Well, the answer to that question is, yes! All through God's Word, the Holy Bible, we are told that God cares very much about our finances.

We Are To Prosper In All Things
Third John 2 says, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."

And Isaiah 48:17 says, "Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: 'I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.'"

That's right. God wants us to prosper in all things. Not only does He want us to prosper, but, according to His own words, He is the one who teaches us to make a profit.

But, why would God want us to prosper anyway? Well, the answer to that is simple. God is a good God. He loves us!
