Generally speaking, this nation is extremely blessed. We are perhaps the richest nation on this earth. How much more we could accomplish if we just gave God thanks?
Thanksgiving is a day when we usually just kick back, eat turkey, and watch football on TV...well at least most of us here in the USA do that, anyway. We sort of take that as the norm. But it's not the norm for many others.

The Bible uses the word "thankful" three times in three verses: Psalm 100:4, Romans 1:21, and in the book of Collisions—er, I mean Colossians 3:15.

I like what Psalm 100:4 says:
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name.
(Ps. 100:4)
This is a reminder for all of us so we remember to whom thanks is due.

Generally speaking, this nation is extremely blessed. We are perhaps the richest nation on this earth. How much more we could accomplish if we just gave God thanks?

God Uses These Words A Lot!
The word "thanks" occurs 73 times in 71 verses in the Bible. You will find the word "thank" 27 times in 26 verses. I'd list them all here if I had the space.

I encourage you to get out your concordance and look them up. (Maybe you can do that at halftime?)

Your thankful attitude will make a difference in the people around you whose lives you touch. No matter who we are or what situation we encounter, we have much to be thankful for.
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(1 Cor. 15:57 KJV)
Today, I give God thanks for you, the reader of this message. And I especially give thanks for the teenagers of this nation and of this world who have a heart after their Lord Jesus.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and remember, eat more Word...prevent truth decay!
