King Solomon wrote, "He who goes about as a slander reveals secrets, therefore do not associate with a gossip" (Prov. 20:19 NASB).
When considering candidates for promotion, bear in mind if the contender has a habit of keeping confidential information private, or if he or she has loose lips.
When the aspirant has had a complaint against a co-worker, does he or she address the concern directly or chat with everybody else to complain?
Hire those who maintain confidences. Avoiding the gossips will strengthen your business team.
