When appointing key business leaders, do you give them complete authority?

Moses was told to name Joshua his successor and was told by the Lord, "...you shall put some of your authority on him...that all...Israel may obey him" (Num. 27:20 NASB).

A newly hired or promoted manager must have your clear authority to maintain both his or her confidence and the confidence of the staff he or she manages.

Whenever possible, personally introduce the manager to the staff. Explain the person's background, how excited you are to have him or her join the team and that he or she has the benefit of your complete confidence.

Your new managers will start well with your help.
