When faced with a major new initiative, do you focus all your energy on the new work at the expense of the old?

King Solomon wrote, "It is good that you grasp one thing, and also not let go of the other..." (Eccl. 7:18 NASB).

Major new projects like opening a new store, tackling a new sales territory or buying another business will take 50 to 75 percent of our time commitment.

If the new project gets done at the expense of our current business, the result may be disastrous.

Either give the current business enough time or hire more help to keep your business running in top shape.
