When interviewing prospective staff, are you able to discern the difference between great past achievement and a good gift of gab?

King Solomon wrote, "mere talk leads only to poverty" (Proverbs 14:23, NASB).

When interviewing a potential employee, ask how results were achieved and how teams were utilized to obtain positive outcomes.

Focus on how the individual actions of the prospective employee achieved success.

Ask, "How do you measure the effectiveness of your leadership?" and "What specific goals have you set and reached this past year?"

Dig deep, and determine the difference between great talk and solid achievement.

Sift out the talkers as you build a great business team for future success.
