Do you pursue fights with business colleagues, or do you stop them before they start?

King Solomon wrote, "the begging of strife is like letting out water, so abandon the quarrel before it breaks out" (Proverbs 17:14, NASB).

When we become frustrated or angry with a co-worker, we have a choice. We either deal with the issues in a constructive, positive way or enter into a contest.

State the issue clearly, the consequences of the problem and what future action is needed.

Avoid stating feelings, keep objective.

When greeted with an angry response, stay calm, and keep to point, the problem and the needed solution.
