"For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift" (John 1:16 AMP).

We need to reflect on the goodness of God. The Bible says that God has heaped upon us spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, favor upon favor, and gift upon gift.

Another translation says, "From the fullness of His grace, we have all received one blessing after another." The goodness of God is far greater than you and I can even think or imagine!

We are all aware that in ourselves we do not deserve the blessings of God. In ourselves we are nothing, but in Christ, each one of us is precious and valuable to God. It is only by the grace of God that we are privileged to have a relationship with our Heavenly Father through our Lord Jesus Christ.

We sing about the marvelous grace of our loving Lord, grace that is greater than all our sins. We can never do anything to merit the grace of God, and we can never be good enough to receive it. But God in His own mercy freely extends His bountiful grace to us and has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus.

Think about how great the grace of God really is! We do not have to stand before God on our own merit. By the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, we can come boldly before God without fear or trembling. Because of Jesus, God is our own Heavenly Father.

The source of all our blessings flows from the Lord Jesus Christ. It is because of the Gift that God gave to mankind - the Lord Jesus Christ - that we have received blessing after blessing and favor upon favor.

We have received these bountiful treasures from a heavenly Source - our Lord Jesus Christ. These spiritual gifts come from the very heart of God. God sent Jesus that we might have life. He did not have to send Jesus to this earth to redeem us, but He
did.

Think about it! Jesus chose to accept the death on the Cross for us. He didn't have to, but He chose to do it for you and me. We need to understand that all of our blessings, all of our joy, and every good thing we have today is a result of what Jesus did for us when He gave the greatest gift of all - His life for the redemption of mankind.

Let us reflect on God's goodness to us. And let's especially take time to thank God for His greatest gift to mankind - our precious Heavenly Gift - the Lord Jesus Christ and the salvation He so freely provided for us!
