When witnessing to others about Christ, be yourself. You can't be Dwight Thompson, and I can't be you. I made a discovery about something a long time ago. When I started preaching, I learned that I had to be me - be myself.

It wasn't that I was trying to mimic, or to duplicate, or imitate anyone; but I picked up a religious tone - you are supposed to lower your voice when you talk about God. You are supposed to be religious sounding.

Take, for instance, your neighbor right next door to you. Some of you have never told your neighbor about Jesus. How many times have they come over to borrow a cup of sugar, or a cup of flour? Right then and there you have a good opportunity to talk to them about Christ.

Now we want to talk about leading them to a decision. This is the most important point, and we must be led of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will lead you to them as you pray, as Phillip was led to the Eunuch.

Like the Eunuch, the Lord will prepare them for your coming. He has brought you together. Now bring them to a decision even as Phillip brought the Eunuch to a decision.

The immediate result to look for is that they have peace. When they follow your instructions according to the Scriptures that you have given them, and have repented of their sins and accepted Jesus as their Savior, they are justified; declared righteous on the spot! The result is that they are at peace with God.

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Rom. 5:1).
