Just say a simple, “Yes, I will,” or “No, I won’t.” Your word is enough. To strengthen your promise with a vow shows that something is wrong.

Christians should be known by their honesty. Not only is honesty a character trait of Jesus, it is a universal value we are commanded by God to possess and uphold. Therefore, we must seek to be honest from our hearts, not just our lips.
When doing business, whether you are a manager, a vendor, or someone’s customer, you must always exercise honesty. Your colleagues and customers should never have to question your word or your commitment.
The best way to establish clear and honest communication is to say what you mean. Make a decision or a commitment, then follow through no matter what. In other words, stick with what you say and say what you mean—always.
Be consistently honest in everything you do. This helps you become a better witness for Christ, and you may be the only witness of Jesus some of your colleagues ever see.
