"Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12 KJV).

You can have victory over every test or trial you face when you act on the Word of God. Getting the love of God down in your heart is how you act on the Word and work out your own salvation. Having victory means you have the Word of God in your heart so much so that when someone does you wrong, the only thing that comes out of you is the Word.

You need to become like a sponge. When you dip a sponge in water, then take it out and squeeze it, water pours from that sponge. If you were to dip the sponge in a bucket of water with household cleaner in it, that is what will come from that sponge when you squeeze it.

Whatever you dip it in, when you put some pressure on it, that is what is going to come out of it. That is like what happens with you when test and trials come.

When the trials of life come to pressure you what will come out? For some, religion will come out. Religion is forms and customs. And with others, their Christianity will come out. Christianity is an experience with Somebody who is alive, and who will change your life. His name is Jesus. And if you are filled with His Word, then when you are pressured, His Word will come out of you and cause you to experience victory over that test.

Meditation on the Word daily brings success. If you have been meditating on the Word then you have been deliberately speaking the Word. Then you make a decision to act on the Word. And you make a decision to stay in agreement with the Word.

The result is that when you are squeezed the Word comes out. Satan will try to squeeze you. He wants to see what is in you. And if you are filled with the Word, that Word comes out and drips all over the place, to bring about your deliverance.

Now if you just dip that sponge in just a little bit of water and the rest of it is dry, and squeeze it, all you are going to get is a little bitty drip. So you have to work out your own salvation by getting the word of God every day, through study and meditation in the Bible. Then get more of the Word at church on Sundays and mid-week services.

Be like a sponge and soak up as much Word as you possibly can, so that when you are pressured, the Word comes out and leads you to victory.
