"Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth" (Prov. 6:2).

The words of your mouth can snare you. Or, to paraphrase this verse, "Thou art taken captive with the words of thy mouth." Have you ever been in captivity? More than likely, your words put you there.

Job 42:10 bears this out when it explains why Job's ordeal ended: "And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends."

Job first got himself into trouble through fear: "For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me" (Job 3:25). Job was saying, "That which I greatly feared has come upon me. I didn't have any peace; I didn't have any rest. I thought my good fortune was too good to be true."

Many folks say that today. Everything is going well in their lives, but they still speak negative words: "Man, this can't last. This is too good to be true." Sometimes they talk themselves right out of the good things that are happening.

Don't make that mistake. When something good comes into your life, say, "Glory to God! I'm walking in abundant life. Thank God, I'll just keep right on going from glory to glory!"

Confession:
My life just keeps getting better and better. Blessings are
overtaking me more and more. My needs are met;
my body is healed. And the best is yet to come!
