The whole book of Ephesians is wonderful for meditation. It tells us who we are in Christ. I want to share an example of a prayer and meditation—based on Ephesians 1:17—that I pray and say every day.
My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises.
(Ps. 119:148)
The whole book of Ephesians is wonderful for meditation. It tells us who we are in Christ. I want to share an example of a prayer and meditation—based on Ephesians 1:17—that I pray and say every day.

First, I pray it over those in authority, both government and spiritual leaders. Then I pray it over myself. You can also pray this over your loved ones.
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
(Eph. 1:17)
I pray through verse 23 and then go over to Ephesians 2, verses 1, 5, and 6.

First, I pray the prayer part. Then I meditate on my position in Christ. God has raised me up together with Christ, and I am seated with Him in the heavenlies—far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named! How could we ever feel depressed when we are so seated and blessed!

Meditating on God's Word is not difficult. It just requires a little time and effort on your part. But if you will commit to do it, God's Word will not return void. It will transform your life. 1

Make Your Day Count
Pray the prayers in Ephesians 1 and 2, and meditate on the wonderful promises that are yours because of your new life in Christ.
