Technique #1: DON'T PREACH TO PEOPLE. Don't carry a religious tone, or leave a "holier than thou" impression, lest your hearers pass you off as a "holy Joe" and ignore you.
Technique #2: BE YOURSELF.
Technique #3: BE POSITIVE.
Technique #4: BE HAPPY.
Technique #5: KNOW YOUR SUBJECT. Of course, our subject is Jesus, therefore, know the Lord Jesus for yourself personally.
I have given you a whole bee-hive of "be's." Now, I want to give you the "Queen Be," that is "Be filled with the Spirit," as Paul said in Ephesians 5:18.
The Holy Spirit can bring both ends together. He has a Simon Peter for every Cornelius. He has a Phillip for every Ethopian Eunuch.
Like Cornelius, there are people hungering and searching. You can be chosen to bring them "words whereby they may be saved." Like the Eunuch, there are those who are questioning and pondering.
You can be like the Spirit-led Phillip who takes the Scripture and tells them about Jesus. Join me tomorrow as we consider these approach techniques step by step.
