Now there stood by the cross of Jesus his mother, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.
(John 19:25-27)

Jesus—on the cross, in extreme circumstances—took time to make sure that His mother would be taken care of. This is what a man does: he takes care of his family.

Married man, this applies to you because you have a family, even though you may not have children yet. Single man with children, this applies to you, also. All men, this applies to you when your parents get older and need care. A man does not run out on his family, because the minute he walks out that door he ceases to be a man. Boys run away from responsibility, but men step up. Men take responsibility. Men lead through example. Men take care of their family.
