"And if I have prophetic powers (the gift of interpreting the divine will and purpose), and understand all the secret truths and mysteries and possess all knowledge, and if I have [sufficient] faith so that I can remove mountains, but have not love (God's love in me) I am nothing (a useless nobody)" (1 Cor. 13:2 AMP).

The most important thing you can do in life is perfect your walk of love. Paul clearly states the necessity of love in every Christian's heart in First Corinthians 13:1-8. In short he said, without love we are useless nobodies. So, here are three attributes of love that we want to study, and become a part of us, so that we can become "somebodies" fit for the Master's use: Love has a good temper, righteousness and sincerity.

Maintaining a good temper is love in disposition. Displaying acts of righteousness is love in conduct. And exhibiting sincerity is love in profession.

The disposition of love is that it is never irritated, and never resentful. In fact, here is a tip for single people. One of the first things to look for in a person is not their overall appearance. Notice their temper. What kind of temper do they have? How far do they go before their button is pushed?

You need to see how they react when something goes wrong. A person who has a disposition of love is one that remains even-tempered no matter what happens.

You will find that divine love has righteousness. Righteousness is love in conduct. It hates sin, and is never glad when others go wrong. One who walks in righteousness is always slow to expose other people's shortcomings, being eager to believe the best of them, always helpful and always enduring.

Finally, there is sincerity, which is love in profession. A person who is sincere is not boastful, not conceited and not hypocritical. They are always honest, being careful not to leave false impressions, only that which is strictly true.

This person is never self-assertive. Sincere love doesn't blaze out in passionate anger, nor does it brood over wrongs. A sincere person is always just, joyful, and truthful. This kind of love knows how to be silent, knows how to be full of trust, and always knows how to remain pleasant.

These are some things that need to be a part of all Christians. When someone thinks of you, they should think of any of the attributes of Jesus, even temperament, righteousness or sincerity.

Meditate on these things and allow the Lord to show you how to best cause these attributes to be a part of your behavior. Consequently, you will be just like Jesus, which is the greatest way to be.
