We have discussed the fact that God has called us to battle. We have also talked about the armor that God has provided for the battle.
Now, allow me to give you one more principle that is an absolute necessity for every warrior: You must keep Satan in the right arena.
Ephesians 6:12 says, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
I do not believe in fearing the enemy, or giving him glory, but you must be aware in the physical, you are no match for the devil. But in the spirit, he is no match for you. We must realize that God gave us spiritual armor.
He gave us a spiritual arena in which to enforce the victory of Christ. We must keep Satan in that spiritual arena.
Second Corinthians 10:3-4 says, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.”
We can pull down the strongholds of Satan. We will pull down the strongholds of Satan. But, we must keep him in the right arena, which is the arena of the spirit.
One of Satan’s greatest strategies is distraction. Second Timothy 2:4 says, “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life….”
We cannot afford to allow the enemy to distract us by entangling us in the cares of life. If you become entangled with other concerns, you will begin fighting in the arena of the natural man, without the armor of God, and you will be vulnerable to Satan’s attack.
Keep Satan in the right arena. Live your life consumed by “the Warrior Spirit.” Live in victory.
