Keep Your Faith Hooked Up

by Mark Brazee | 365 Days of Healing

“And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick” (Matt. 14:14).

My wife, Janet, and I were in Capetown, South Africa, some time ago to hold four nights of meetings. The first night, a lady in her fifties came forward for prayer. We noticed that someone had to lead her to the front and then lead her back to her seat after we prayed for her.

This woman attended each night of the meetings. At the end of the last meeting, she walked up to the front to talk with us. She said, “I’ve been blind for thirteen years, and I’ve suffered with migraine headaches for a long time. When you prayed for me on the first night, I was instantly healed of the headaches. But as I walked back to my seat, I still couldn’t see a thing.

“But I kept coming back each night to feed my faith,” the woman continued. “When I came here the first night, all I could see was a mass of gray. But tonight, I can tell what color your suit is. And by the time you come here again, I’ll be seeing you!”

This woman kept her faith hooked up once she realized God wanted her healed. Knowing it is God’s will to heal us is the foundation we all must have.

Once we know the Word of God on the subject, we must act on the Word we know. First we make a “point of contact” with our faith—that is, establishing a moment in time when we’ve taken our stance on God’s promises. Then we hold fast to our confession of faith until our healing manifests in our bodies.

You can make your point of contact right now. Just say from your heart, “Father, I ask You for my healing. I believe I receive it and I thank You for it in Jesus’ name. I believe it is mine!”

You may not look or feel any different, but just believe that you are different. Keep your faith hooked up. Continue to confess, “Thank God, I believe I receive my healing. I believe I’m healed.” Your healing may come instantly, or it may come over a period of minutes, hours, days, weeks or months. But it will come!

Confession:

I believe God is able to heal me. I believe

God is willing to heal me. Therefore,

I believe I receive my healing!
