(Love) “Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth …” (1 Cor. 13:7-8 KJV).
Thank God for the love of God. First Corinthians 13 gives a good reason to walk in love. Verse 8 says, “Love never fails.” In other words, love always works.
Now, the flesh doesn’t like to hear this taught. The flesh wants to hear, “Not only do I get mad, I’m getting even.” Getting even is not the way. God says, “Vengeance is mine, I’ll repay.” Leave the getting even to God. You walk in the love of God. You operate the way a Christian is supposed to operate. Walk in love and God will handle the rest.
Every time you hear a message like this preached, Satan always makes sure you have an opportunity to walk in it. I had the opportunity recently to walk in love. I was driving on the freeway when a woman cut me off. She almost run me into the ditch. I almost lost control of the car and killed myself because of what she did.
I was so mad, I’m must confess. I know you have never had this emotion. She almost got me killed. So, I sped up and almost got along side of her. She saw my face and took off; and I took off behind her. My flesh said, “If I catch you I’m going to beat your tail.” I got maybe 30 seconds down the road and said, “What am I doing?” I stopped the chase and let her go. I said, “Here you are a big time faith preacher and going to beat a woman down.” I repented in the car right there.
It seemed that the Lord said to me, “There you go. That’s the way you are supposed to do this. Now pray for that woman.” Jesus said to pray for those who despitefully use you. In this case, pray for those who have almost killed you. The Lord had me to pray for that woman, and forgive her, in Jesus’ Name. This is moving into the realm of the spirit. When you can pray for your enemies, God can take you forward. He is pleased. Thank God for His love.
