Now At This Time

by Keith Butler | The Anointed Word

“To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus” (Rom. 3:26 KJV).

Paul, in writing to the church at Rome makes a point in Romans 3:26. He says, “at this time” God’s righteousness is declared over us. The issue of righteousness is the one that got me moving in the things of God, for it opened the whole word of God to me and got me over the hump that was holding me back.

I grew up thinking that God was a big mean judge on the throne with a mallet, just waiting for me to make the wrong move so that He could whack me and squash me like a bug. All I would think about were my failures in life.

I already had a poor self-image. And I really could not go forward until I found out that God, the One on the throne, said, “boy, you are righteous; you are holy before me, and it is not because of what you did, but because of what I did for you. Now walk in what I have done for you at this time. It is not just when you get to heaven, it is done right now. That righteousness should be a force in your life now.”

Then I got it. When you understand that you are righteous now, once you’ve received Jesus as your Lord, then it ought to affect how you think; it ought to affect how you talk; it ought to affect your ministry; it should affect how you walk in this earth. Because you know you are in right standing with God through the blood of Jesus, you should have fear of nothing.

On the contrary, you can shout the victory, because an overflow of blessings is coming your way. You can shout because you believe God has made you righteous. That means in the middle of a recession for the world, you get blessed.

Will you dare take a moment to shout right now, right where you are? You have been declared righteous before God. That makes you a candidate for a fresh anointing – now at this time. Now the only way you can praise God is that you believe the blood has already paid the price for you – now at this time. Thank God for the blood of Jesus.

We have faith in the blood, and that blood protects us from recession. If you lost your job, you still get your money, because your job is not your source. It is only a channel through which God is blessing you. God has declared you righteous, and blessings are coming your way – now at this time.
