“With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation” (Ps. 91:16 KJV).
The Word of God gives wisdom and understanding to his children. And with long life, He will satisfy you and show you your deliverance.
I used to have a tremendous fear that I would die before I was thirty-five. It was an unreasonable fear of death. I had a fear that I would die of sickness, in a plane crash, or a car crash, or I was going to get shot in a drive-by shooting.
I had to ask myself, “Am I going to allow any kind of fear to remain in my life, or am I going to banish it?”
I said, “I am a man of God and I’m going to banish it.” So, I had to do what I preach. I had to say what God said about it. I had to meditate on what God said about it. I had to take a stand. And say, “In Jesus’ name, I will not die prematurely.”
Anything you’ll relax yourself to, Satan will run you a checklist to see what you’ll accept. Will you accept dying by a hangnail? Whatever you will focus on, that is what he’ll send you. Are you going to die with cancer? There are people reading this who have no peace because they have such a fear of cancer.
But I didn’t read anywhere in the Word of God where it says, “Himself took your infirmities except cancer.” It told me that the power of God is stronger than cancer or anything else.
I’ve had big lumps come in my body, and I’ll just say what God’s Word says about it and watch them disappear. But it starts with a decision.
After you’ve rolled the worry and care over on God, give Him thanks for your deliverance.
There is peace that passes all understanding right now. Lift your hands and worship God as His peace comes over your mind now. His peace quiets your nerves. The peace of God flows in you from the crown of your head to the very souls of your feet. Receive peace today.
I’m no longer worried about dying prematurely. In fact, when I talk to my wife, I tell her that I’m still going to be chasing her when we are well past ninety, and I’m going to catch her too. I got rid of that fear. And I’ve got peace like a river.
