“That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel.”
There is a big mystery revealed in this scripture. The mystery is this: Because of Jesus Christ, the good news of the gospel has been given to the Gentiles so they can share in the promises that God gave to the Jews.
The Message Bible says: “The mystery is that people who have never heard of God and those who have heard of him all their lives (what I’ve been calling outsiders and insiders) stand on the same ground before God. They get the same offer, same help, same promises in Christ Jesus. The Message is accessible and welcoming to everyone, across the board.”
It doesn’t matter where we came from or what our background consists of. When we believed on Jesus we were welcomed into the family of God and given access to all the promises that God has made. We are joint heirs with Jesus and partakers together of the gospel.
I am a member of the Body of Christ, and have a heritage and a hope in Christ by believing the gospel.
